Why add language objectives to your lesson plans?
Adding language objectives to your lesson plans may seem like another thing to add to your list of to do's that is never ending, however, I think that once you start it will get easier and quicker as you become familiar with the standards. You will use your students ACCESS scores to determine the language objectives that you feel are appropriate for your lesson. The goal for adding the language objectives is so that each student has their specific needs met and specific goals to meet. If we are truly going to assess our students we should be deliberate in measuring growth that is tailored to help them reach their goals.
